The Maiden Voyage of The Jolly Roger

The Jolly Roger waiting to set sail for home.

Turning around and heading back home.

Thank God for shade trees!
It was getting HOT out there.

Someone speeding off to work, I suppose.

My left foot.
Just in case you were sitting in front of your computer thinking "I wonder what kind of shoes he wears?"  Now ya know.

My first break.  A long road ahead.  It was still early, so I didn't need any shade.  But on the way back it was getting pretty warm.

While sitting under a shade tree, I started to hear this rumbling noise coming up behind me.  I looked in my mirror and saw this behemoth approaching.  I was able to grab my camera and snap a picture as he went by.  Those tractors look a LOT bigger when your butt is only 10 inches off the ground!

No need for this guy to dail 911.

Me and my shadow

Can you believe they make helmets big enough to fit my big 'ol melon head?

I look much cuter without the helmet, don't I?  ; )

I got up at 0430 this morning to take a nice long cruise on my trike before the temperature got too hot. I was on the road by 0540 and took my time cruising down the road. I stopped under a shade tree once in a while, took some pictures and had a great time. I was gone for 3 hours and 40 minutes. I only went about 20 miles altogether, but it's not about how fast you go, it's about how much fun you have while doing it. As my conditioning improves and I develop my "Recumbent Legs", my speed will increase, but it is not of great concern, that's for sure.
